A true rising star in belly dance Ahava’s signature graceful Egyptian style has set her apart from other artists. With over ten years experience, Ahava is a multi award-winning dancer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Some of her awards include 2006 Queen of Raks Sharqi, 2007 Egyptian Champion, 2007 Drum Solo Champion and the 2008 Belly Dancer of the Year.

Ahava has been featured in several performance and instructional DVDS including the popular By Dancers for Dancers series, Jillina’s Shape Up and Hip Out and IAMED’s Belly Dance 007.  She is heavily influenced by Egyptian dancers, such as Samia Gamal, Taheya Carioca and Naima Akef for their grace, Mona Said and Sahar Hamdi for their beautiful arms and hands, and the one and only Fifi Abdo for her wit and boldness. (Ahava has had the great honor of performing for Madame Fifi twice!)

Ahava’s tireless dedication to the art of belly dance has led her to become an in demand instructor and choreographer. Her gentle yet challenging teaching style and philosophy allows students to feel comfortable and confident with their own style, and encourages them to dance to their full capabilities.
